Description
This unique orchid cactus is a show stopper. We get so many questions about this plant, as it looks like something straight out of a sci-fi film. Typically grown in hanging baskets, the curly locks will cascade and twist to lengths of 3 to 4 feet. It flowers at night as it is pollinated by bats and moths, and will follow with edible and delicious red fruit. This plant is an epiphyte which means it grows in obscure places, on rocks, bark or cracks wherever it can take root. It gathers most of its energy through moisture in the air, and sunlight and is a particularly hardy plant, with minimal care requirements making it a superb plant for beginners.
