Monstera adansonii is often referred to as ‘swiss cheese plant’ because of all the holes (fenestrations) in its leaves. Due to its epiphytic nature, it prefers to climb on things such as a moss pole. When grown this way, the leaves produced will be slightly larger. The wide form (shown here) has rounder leaves than its counterpart, the narrow form.
